After spending many happy and productive years in the Far East, Hugh Kelsey now lives with his wife and children in his native Edinburgh, where he is bridge correspondent to Scotland's national newspaper, The Scotsman. Family commitments have kept Kelsey from playing as much bridge as he would have liked, but he is a Grand Master of the game who has represented Scotland many times in international competition. Twice winner of the Gold Cup (Britain's premier team event), he also has his name on every Scottish National Trophy.
The publication of his first bridge book in 1966 won Kelsey instant acclaim as one of the world's foremost bridge analysts. Since then he has written more than twenty books on bridge which have been translated into nine foreign languages and have sold more than 250,000 copies.
