The American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), with nearly 170,000 members in Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the United States, is the main sanctioning body for organized bridge in North America. It sponsors more than 1,000 bridge tournaments a year and has more than 3,200 affiliated bridge clubs.
Grant, a consultant to the ACBL, has written more than 20 books on bridge. Those most in demand are the five books which make up the ACBL Bridge Series -
Bidding (Club Series), Play of the Hand (Diamond Series), Defense (Heart Series), Commonly Used Conventions (Spade Series), and
More Commonly Used Conventions (Notrump Series).
